There is a local food bank (pantry) being built here in Rougemont.

It will be located at (in) the Rougemont United Methodist Church
at the corner of 501 and Red Mountain Rd.   (http://rougemontumc.blogspot.com/)

The board of the church approved it at their last meeting and now we will move
                    forward with the project.

The first "work" day will be Saturday - January 28th beginning at 9am until ??.

The goal is to clean out the old office that will be used for food storage and
pressure washing and painting the sidewalk and steps leading to that room.

Come and help - the more the merrier ... and it is about the community taking
                    care of its own.

The Rougemont Ruritan Club will support the Food Bank/Pantry and many of
of our members are currently involved.

Anyone from the Rougemont Community is welcome to join in this effort to
for those in need in our own community.

For every $100 spent in
locally owned independent
stores, $68 returns to the
community through taxes,
payroll, and other expenditures!

When those dollars are
spent in national chains,
only $43 stays here.
